The "cable take-up" option is generally used for retrieving broken or outdated lines. The "cable take-up" (also referred to as a "cable retriever" option) is great for retrieving both short and long sections of line. The retriever unit is hydraulically powered and can run off the truck's tool circuit or a self-contained hydraulic system mounted on the trailer. When used in conjunction with a tensioning brake, these take-up units also work well for pulling back wire in the stringing process.

Brooks Brothers' hydraulic retriever units have the power you need to get the job done quickly and safely. In addition to our direct chain drive and heavy duty flange bearing design, our cable retriever units feature a maximum 3000 ft. lbs. of torque @ 2250 psi and 14 RPM's at 8 GPM. The Brooks Brothers hydraulic take-up units are made of precision machined components for ease of operation and longevity of life. Our cable retriever units can also be used simultaneously with our 12" or 16" tensioning brakes.
