Trailer Plug Wiring – Chassis and body are to be wired to S.A.E. Standards. Wiring to terminate in
Midland-Berg P/N 22040 water proof terminal block. Block to be located at the rear of the truck.
Wiring from the terminal block to the receptacles will be a rubber or vinyl covered cable with a
minimum outside diameter of 9/16” and a maximum outside diameter of 5/8” and consist of color
coded 14 A.W.G. standard copper wire.
(Note, brake lights run through the turn signals)
Install Midland-Berg P/N 23703 or equal seven terminal receptacle per S.A.E. Standard with the
following exceptions.
- Center terminal connects to 12-volt ignition supply for charging trailer battery.
- Stop light terminal (6-o’clock position) connects to trailer brakes control circuit from factory provided
brake controller.
- Receptacle painted yellow and labeled “Electric Brakes”
